Flash FAIL threatens Android

One of the key selling points of Android 2.2 is the inclusion of a full version of Adobe Flash Player.

Unfortunately, the implementation of Flash on Android is TOO full, and Adobe have managed to make the platform vulnerable to the latest zero day security threat, according to PC World magazine.

Adobe Flash and Adobe Acrobat Reader are two completely miserable failures when it comes to security. Although Flash is not quite as bad as Acrobat Reader, it is still a sign of remarkable FAIL to be able to be so rubbish.

Although Flash does add functionality, does it come at too high a price? And is Steve Jobs right to keep Flash off the iPhone platform after all?
